Goal: $9,998 Fundraising Deadline: May 2025

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters, In the summer of 2025, my 15-year-old son, Easton, and I will embark on a meaningful journey to Nepal with Youthlinc, a humanitarian organization dedicated to fostering lifetime humanitarians through sustainable service. Together, we will collaborate with local Nepalese communities to address urgent needs in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Why Nepal? Nepal’s rugged terrain and susceptibility to earthquakes and monsoons create ongoing challenges for infrastructure and development. Many rural communities still face the effects of the 2015 earthquake, with schools, homes, and vital resources in disrepair. These communities often lack the financial means to rebuild. Our team will serve in Khanigaon and Lele, two villages near Godawari, southeast of Kathmandu. 

What We’ll Do

• Partner with Insight Himalaya, a local organization, to implement community-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with Waves For Water to develop sustainable clean water systems.
• Focus on initiatives in community health, ecological restoration, business training, construction, education, and cultural exchange.

Why We Need Your Help The cost of this trip, which covers travel, accommodations, meals, and project supplies, is $9,998. Your support will help us bring vital resources to these communities while ensuring our efforts are both impactful and sustainable.

Our Personal Connection to Youthlinc This mission holds special meaning for us. In 2023, I traveled to Cambodia with my daughter, Ryley, as part of a Youthlinc team. That experience was life-changing—it strengthened our bond and demonstrated the transformative power of service. Together, we built a library, hosted health fairs, and planted community gardens. Now, I’m thrilled to share this experience with Easton. 

How You Can Support Us There are several ways to help us reach our goal:

1. Make a Tax-Deductible Donation
   Youthlinc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive a receipt for your records.
2. Participate in Our Fundraisers
   • Holiday Poinsettia Sale: Purchase beautiful 6” poinsettias for $12 each (red or red with white spots). Orders close November 30, with delivery on December 3.
   • Fundraising Night at Zupa’s (December 17 from 4-8 PM): Dine at Zupa’s  (1400 Fort Union Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121) and a portion of your bill will go toward our mission. Make sure to tell them you are there to support Youthlinc.
   • Clothing Drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters: Donate clothing, bedding, shoes, and accessories. Easton and I need to collect 1000 pounds of clothing by the end of February 2025. We can arrange pick-up or drop-off for your items. You can text or call me at: (801) 573-8757
