Hi! I’m Audrey Sorenson from Murray, Utah. This June, I’ll be traveling to Iquitos, Peru with Youthlinc, a nonprofit that empowers young people to serve both locally and globally.
In Iquitos, our team will help build sidewalks that act as roads, making it safer for children to get to school and helping families avoid illness caused by mud and flooding. We’ll also be teaching English, health and hygiene, and sewing skills to support the community’s long-term growth.
I joined Youthlinc because I want to make a lasting impact and be remembered as someone who truly cared about helping others. Through this experience, I hope to grow, learn gratitude, and step outside my comfort zone.
The total cost of my trip is $4,500, which covers travel, lodging, food, and all project materials — basically everything except souvenirs. Any amount you can give will help me get closer to making this dream a reality.
