Because I'm a USU student finishing up my Special Education degree, I have the chance to go on a humanitarian trip with Youthlinc to Fiji this summer! In Fiji, we'll be working in special schools with children with disabilities and collaborating with teachers and education professionals. I've always enjoyed working with children - from babysitting to working hard for favorite aunt status to raising my own 3 kids to working as an elementary school aide and now to becoming a Special Education teacher. Helping children with disabilities learn to read, do math problems, and gain confidence in their abilities has become a passion for me, and I'm so excited for this chance to gain more experience and become a better teacher for these sweet kids.
