Matti Turley is preparing to travel to Peru to study abroad in Global Health and Service, an opportunity that will allow her to gain hands-on experience addressing health disparities while working directly with underserved communities. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Radiology, along with minors in Healthcare Management and Mental Health Advocacy and Awareness. This program aligns closely with her academic and professional goals by combining clinical knowledge, public health perspectives, and service-based learning in an international setting. Matti is seeking fundraising support to help cover program costs, travel, and living expenses so she can fully engage in this immersive educational experience and bring back valuable insights that will shape her future career in healthcare and global service.

In partnership with Youthlinc, this program dives deep into the heart of Amazonian communities, assessing health infrastructure, participating in home visits, and teaming up on impactful service projects like school improvements and water filtration initiatives. In Iquitos, students will explore public health organizations and gain a firsthand look at the differences between rural and urban health efforts. The journey continues in the rich culture of Cusco and top it all off with a breathtaking visit to the legendary Machu Picchu.
