I need your help.

This year I'm heading to northern Thailand in the Chiang Mai area for a humanitarian trip. It's kind of a dream come true to be able to go on one of these trips. In the next couple of months, I'll be doing 80 hours of hands-on community service here in Utah. Really, more than anything, I'm 19 years old and I want to learn how to give back to people. So, this year I've decided to head on this trip to Thailand, where my team will be refurbishing a playground, making renovations to school rooms, making renovations to the girls and boys on-site dormitories, lengthened an essential roadway for the community, making improvements to the schools canteen area, and installing bathrooms for the school.

Overall, this trip isn't cheap. Doing amazing things in another country isn't something I'm completely capable of affording right now. Any sort of funding will extremely help me, but also those in Thailand.

Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in a small village outside Chang Mai, Thailand next summer.
