Hi, my name is Sara Deland and I am hoping to go on a humanitarian trip to Thailand this July! A little about me, I am eighteen years old, currently a freshman at the University of Utah majoring in Nursing. The Ultimate goal is to travel the world and help those is need and I beleive this trip is my first step in doing so.

On this trip, the Youthlinc team will be doing a variety of activities over a two week period. While in country, our activities include construction, hosting english camps and health lessons, creating some mondo art, engaging in cultural conversation, and more. We will have the opportunity to learn and connect with one another, and hopefully make life-long friends.

Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in a small village outside Chang Mai, Thailand next summer.
