I will be going on a humanitarian trip with Youthlinc in Summer 2021. Youthlinc is an organization whose mission is to create lifetime humanitarians by travelling internationally and helping those in need along with doing service locally. After seeing my sisters positive experience with her trip to Thailand and the impact it had on her life, I knew that also wanted to do humanitarian work. I will be going to a small village in Nakuru, Kenya. While in Kenya I will have the opportunity to build a water trench and catchment system to help avoid classroom flooding at the Muriundu Primary School. Along with many various types of service throughout the village. Not only will I have the chance to help with projects in Africa, I will also be doing service locally. To fund my trip to Kenya I will be accepting donations. With these donations I will successfully be able to become a lifetime humanitarian.

Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in the small village of Kajuki, Kenya next summer.
