Hello everyone! I am excited to be part of the 2019-20 Youthlinc Service Year. With this program, I will contribute 80 hours of local community service before I serve internationally in Thailand this upcoming June!

In my community I will be volunteering at the Christian Center in Park City, Utah where I will be working in the food pantry, collecting and distributing food to people in need. I will also be doing a lot of miscellaneous service hours with the Park City High National Honor Society.

This summer, I will be traveling to Trat, Thailand where I will be participating in a variety of construction, community health, business development, vocational training, English education, and cultural exchange activities.

I am so fortunate to have this opportunity. During this experience I hope to become a more humble and grateful person. Also, our world is so unique with many different countries and I find it important to learn and accept other cultures. Youthlinc will give me the opportunity to help empower and leave an impact on people. As I serve in Thailland I will meet many new people but I am also really excited to help and make an impact on my community. This opportunity will help me see life through a new perpective and help me in my future.

Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in a small village outside Chang Mai, Thailand next summer.
