My name is Lexie Garfield and I'm a senior at Cedar High School. I am an alum leader for the Peru July 2020 youthlinc service year. I was able to travel to Nepal last June with youthlinc and it was an amazing experience! going to Nepal as well as doing local service has got me hooked on service and the lessons you learn from serving! The lessons I learned and the people I met in Nepal will always hold a special place in my heart. I can't wait to go to Peru this summer and I would love your help with getting there! Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in a small village along the Amazon River next summer.
