My name is Kayla Lee, I am from Chinle, AZ, I am Navajo and first generation college student. I am a Social Work major and I am taking this trip to Jamaica to utilize my skills and knowledge to help others. I have been very interested in public outreach and I enjoy being able to assist others. I would like to be able to reach out further, gain more experience, gain more confidence in branching out to help more people and to be able to bring more awareness to health. I understand health is an important subject, I work as an assistant at the Community Health Representative Outreach Program and have become more passionate in being more proactive in bringing awareness to health.

Youthlinc is a Utah non-profit organization dedicated to creating lifetime humanitarians through local and international service. Service Year students contribute 80 hours of local service before their international service trip. In monthly meetings, students - mentored by adult professionals - take leadership roles in planning educational, community health, business development, vocational training and cultural exchange initiatives that are implemented in a small village outside Pursat, Cambodia next summer.
