Youthlinc's NGO partner in Colombia, Academia de Vida, is working to establish the Service Year in Manizales, Colombia. This means we are working with students there to engage them similarly as our students in Utah do-- they will do local service in their own community and meet regularly to engage in and reflect on their community service efforts. They will also prepare to go on an international humanitarian trip,  just like our Utah youth. The Colombian students plan to join up with the Perú July team this coming summer.  

All of the students joining from Colombia have financial need, some of their families only making $200 per month.  Youthlinc has committed to raise $5,000 to support these students and our NGO partner in Colombia has already committed to raise an additional $5,000 to support them.  The students themselves will also fundraise a portion of their trip costs.

Please consider donating to support these students.  Each student needs $1,000 from Youthlinc, $1,000 form Academia de Vida, and another $500 from their own fundraising to make this leadership development and service opportunity happen. 

Any donor that donates a full $1,000 to support a student will be recognized by Youthlinc as a Sustaining Member and Legacy Sponsor of the organization.  You will also be directly connected to the student you are sponsoring so that they can keep you updated on their local service work, their preparations for traveling to Peru, and will update you about their work in Peru upon their return home.
